Bean!

Jose planted a bean in a cup during his chapel service on Wednesday, March 23.  During the first week after he brought it home, I was really skeptical as to whether or not anything was going to grow.  We watered it and kept it in sun/artificial light during the day.  Still, by the following Wednesday, nothing had happened!  I was planning to just quietly throw it out when Jose wasn’t looking.  But then – WOW!  The next day, there was growth!  And not just some little tiny thing barely poking out of the dirt, but an honest to goodness bean plant!  Here’s a link to a little slideshow of all the pictures we’ve taken of it so far, from March 31 to April 3.  It’s amazing how quickly it’s grown!
